History of Manuel Ortiz Real Estate
Manuel Ortiz Jr. was born and raised in Tulare and has enjoyed working in many ag-related businesses starting with his career in 1973 as a Custom-Farming specialist. He then transitioned into Farming and Farm Management when he began a Ground-Spraying business in 1978. Other agriculture ventures throughout the years have included a Trucking Business, and Raising Beef Cattle and Holstein Heifers.
Manuel has been involved with 4-H and FFA over the years, and has also served as Tulare High School FFA Booster President for four years. He started one of the first boosters clubs that helped support 4-H & FFA students at the Tulare County Fair Sale. He also served from 1988-1992 on the Tulare County Farm Service Agency Advisory Committee. Manuel spent time with Tulare Chamber events back in the 90’s and had been a Tulare Chamber member for thirty years where he served as an Ambassador for the Chamber. He graduated with the 2012 Leadership Class conducted by the Tulare Chamber. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, and also served on St. Rita’s Church Finance Council Committee and helped initiate the new church project. Manuel and Mary have three children between them and six grandchildren. Manuel enjoys spending time with his grandchildren any chance he gets! He also enjoys fishing, weight lifting and riding his bike.
Manuel holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Fresno Pacific University - class of 2003. In 2008 he received his Real Estate Brokers License. Over the years, Manuel has acquired many relationships in the agriculture field and is known throughout the Tulare, Kings and Kern counties.
